Nissan steals away with van safety prize 03.09.2010 09:00:00

 

Nissan’s LCV range blew the competition out of the water at this year’s British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards.

The NV200, Primastar, Interstar, Cabstar, Navara and Pathfinder Van all played a part in securing the sought-after best manufacturer accolade for Nissan at the awards that represent the highest official recognition of vehicle security in the UK.

Nissan Motor GB Corporate Sales Director, Tony Lewis, said: "This award is an excellent endorsement of Nissan’s commercial vehicle security that our customers can trust."

The award is given to the manufacturer with the most model ranges where every variant satisfies the awards’ criteria for ‘theft of’ and ‘theft from’.

On top of the best manufacturer award, the Cabstar, Navara and Primastar models all finished in the top two of their respective categories.

The prestigious award follows hot-on-the-heels of the segment-breaking NV200’s success in being named International Van of the Year 2010.
